I cut out some parts and included a bit towards the end about how the task at hand is not only to create more festivals, but to build sustainable systems of living with each other and the planet. Rhizomatic networks of communities all culminating in the great turning towards Festival Earth.

I also changed the line breaks into prose, which I think ultimately flows better.

Glad you're up for preparing your article for Reality Sandwich! In general, RS articles are 1,500 - 2,500 words, but we're not strict about length. I think that dividing the piece into 3 sections is fine, if you want to keep that structure.

Maraya, great to meet you! I agree with Nick. Your post would make an excellent article for Reality Sandwich. Would you be up for editing the 3 parts into a single article, removing the repetitions (like Victor Turner's 3 points, which appears twice), etc? Also, you might consider including some of the feedback you've received from readers since the post first appeared, particularly regarding "what comes next" for festivals in order for them to grow and develop as you discuss.
